Bidders slowly returning to market

After a lacklustre EP 14 campaign, attentions are returning to normality with bid positions increasing by 1.5% throughout the week. However it is noticeable that bid prices are a little softer than pre campaign, no doubt a result of the strengthening pound and weakening euro particularly against the HK dollar over recent weeks.

The total offer value has fallen by 3.6% to £1.6 million as trades are matched although 165 new cases have been made live for sale during the past seven days. Overall market value remains at £4.5 million with the bid to offer ratio rising from recent weeks to 1.85:1.

We are therefore on the look-out for members who are seeking to refresh a portfolio, perhaps free up some capital or maybe looking to reduce storage costs as we hit the summer months. If you wish Cavex to load up your cellar holdings free of charge or provide a no obligation cellar valuation then please do send through your cellar lists to trading@cavex.co.uk. The team will be very happy to help where we can.

Trade highlights of the week:
