Manage Your Portfolio

Uploading a wine portfolio to the Cavex platform enables you to manage your own collection at a time that suits you. Use of the portfolio service is free of charge and as many wines as you wish may be uploaded. Should you have an extensive list, feel free to submit this to Cavex through the website and we would be happy to upload this on your behalf, free of charge.

The portfolio tool allows you to:

  1. Set up and manage an individual or multiple cellars or “Caves” through the manage caves facility
  2. Manage wine stored in different locations within the UK, yet centralise them through one system using the manage warehouses function
  3. Manage portfolios for friends and/or family simply by creating Caves in their names for easy tracking
  4. Load the buy prices so that over time you may monitor the performance of each wine against real time market data
  5. Compare portfolio costs to your last traded Cavex price
  6. Export your portfolio to PDF or Excel format in an instant
  7. Select key wines to “watch” so you  can monitor activity for those wines of interest to you without placing a live bid or offer

Sellers can only offer stock for sale from their default warehouse account. If a member has multiple storage locations within the UK we require that only items from the default warehouse are listed for live offers. This enables the swift collection of stock from the seller’s account when it comes to export collections. Failure to manage the default warehouse correctly could result in timely delays and therefore delayed payment to the seller.

Buyers must also set up a default warehouse to receive goods into. These details are what the seller receives and will instruct delivery to upon a matched trade once payment has been confirmed to them. Ensuring the correct default warehouse is set will aid quicker delivery times and prevent any unnecessary costs to the member.

You do not have a wine portfolio, yet wish to start collecting and tracking performance over time? Then simply open an account with Cavex, follow our blog, watch prices move through the platform and, when you are ready, start placing bids to immediately create a new portfolio.
